Diggin' in the Dirt

It was wonderful to finally have a weekend with D (after two without)! We had LOTS of good old-fashioned bonding. Complete with planting pansies (my fave flowers for the cool weather!), D was an excellent apprentice in the yard. Even though we were a wee bit chilly, diggin' in the dirt was just good for the soul. D loved every moment. He's such a tool guy :)

Then, we had some seriously good nap time. Woke up and took D to his first visit to the Village. The two sweet girls that were his teachers were so welcoming and loving. He even remembered their names! And yes, we had dinner at Rosa's Cafe! D ate every ounce of queso that he could dip a chip, chicken or tortilla in. I barely spoke as we devoured the world's greatest fast Tex-Mex. I'm drooling just typing about it!

Sunday, we went to our church where D was EXCELLENT in his big boy class! All FOUR teachers individually told me how good he was, how refreshing it was to have a little boy who obeyed, paid attention and helped clean up. Momma was BEAMING! :) Then, we had our first visit to Cowboy Chicken (another YUM find). Back home for another great nap time (Momma REALLY misses those during the week!), and then it was Operation LIttle Chef. D helped me make chicken & rice for dinner...but his fave (as you can see - ha!) was being Momma's taste-tester and approving the brownie batter. He did EXACTLY what I asked him to and only caught him with his finger in the sugar once :)

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We're SO excited to have one week left until our week long Thanksgiving holiday!!!
